May 2 - Sweeps Redux

♠ "Flower sweep"
♠ pull the opponent into high guard
♠ put one arm across the shoulder
♠ place the other underneath the knee
♠ drop the opposite side leg, and scissor over

♠ "Half Guard Wizard"
(I have no idea what a wizard is still lol)
♠ put one arm across the lat to not get wizard
♠ sit up on the other arm
♠ when you feel the opponent push into you, sweep underneath their leg and sweep

Guard Pass

♠ sit up and posture back
♠ use your arms to keep the opponent's chest down
♠ shift your weight to one side
♠ raise the opposite leg to stand on (keep it close to keep the opponent from hooking
♠ then raise the other foot
♠ press the elbow in on one side
♠ step back with one leg and press down with the elbow
♠ place the knee on the leg to trap it
♠ put your head into the opponent's shoulder
♠ place one hand on the opponent's hip
♠ swivel your hips as you bring the other leg back
♠ when you remove the trapping leg bring the hand off the hips

March 7 - Arm Bars and a Basic Sweep



Arm Bar from Knee on Belly
♠ when the opponent tries to push off the knee
♠ grip underneath the arm, take the arm bar

Arm Bar from Mount
♠ cross the face with the hand
♠ trap the arm
♠ move the knee up and push the arm up
♠ move the cross face hand further out and spin to arm bar
or
♠ in mount, rotate on the chest with both hands

Basic Sitting Sweep
♠ sit facing the opponent
♠ put one foot underneath his thigh
♠ grap underneath the lat
♠ head in chest
♠ grab the pointy part of the elbow
♠ lock the wrist close to the chest
♠ kick over

Escape Rear Naked Choke
♠ put the arm choking arm underneath yours
♠ turn the shoulders in

Feb. 27 - sweep

Scissor Sweep
♠ when in guard
♠ grab underneath one of the opponent's knee
♠ use your opposite side foot to push off and rotate your body
♠ use the same leg, bring it out, then swing it in hard and cut, scissoring your legs at the same time to sweep

Anticipation
- don't go where the puck is, go where it's going to be




♠ With the opponent in full guard
♠ control the wrists, pull down
♠ when pulling down, use the legs to pull the opponent down
♠ pull the opponent straight down or to the side


♠ pull the triceps and flare the arms out


♠ when the opponent bases on his wrists
♠ site up to one side, go for the Kimura
♠ when attempting the Kimura – grab the wrist, pull the tricep close to your chest
♠ move perpendicular and keep the leg over the back with the foot flexed up for strength

♠ if the Kimura is blocked:
- grab the tricep
- base up on one hand
- drop the legs and push the hips up
- swing one leg over and sweep

♠ if the opponent bases out to block the sweep, go back to Kimura

♠ clasp around the lat
♠ grab the bicep
♠ roll and step into the opponent
